With a view of imparting quality education for the aspiring youth of Coimbatore, Sree Narayana Guru Educational Trust members came forward with a plan to start a college for Applied Sciences and Management Studies. Sree Narayana Guru College (SNGC) came into existence in 1994, affiliated to Bharathiyar University and approved by Govt.of Tamilnadu.
Sree Narayana Guru Polytechnic College (SNGPC) is a co-educational, self financing polytechnic established in the year 1984 by Sree Narayana Guru Educational Trust under the dynamic leaderships of Founder Chairman late. Sri.A.P.Madhavan, Founder Secretary late.Sri.T.V.Sekharan and the Founder Treasurer late. Sri.K.K.Vijayan. This polytechnic has been approved by Govt.of Tamilnadu and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and we are an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution. The infrastructural facilities have been provided at optimum level for effective instruction.
Sree Narayana Guru Polytechnic College is one of the most prestigious Institutions in Coimbatore, located at Madukkarai, 15kms from the city on Coimbatore – Palakkad National Highway (NH 47). It is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery with pleasant and quiet atmosphere, easily accessible through frequent town buses. The campus area spreads to about 15.73 acres and the total build up area of buildings is 1, 20, 500sq.m.
