About The Mission Shree Narayana Cultural Mission, Ahmedabad is a premier centre of education 8c the second largest Shree Narayana Center outside Kerala. The Institutions under SNCM are named after the great social reformer, philosopher and saint Shree Narayana Guru (1854-1928).

With humble beginnings dating back to 1976, the Shree Narayana Cultural Mission, Ahmedabad has now flowered into a premier cultural, educational and social organization which has become a source of pride and inspiration to the entire Malayalee population of Gujarat. Deeply rooted in the philosophy of universal brotherhood and enlightenment through education promoted by Shree Narayana Guru Devan, the Mission strives to realize his dreams through education and effective social action.
Needless to say, education is our focal point. On date, the Mission has set up and is managing four educational institutions viz. Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya , Shree Narayana College of Commerce, Shree Narayana Central School and Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya, Odhay. The oldest among them viz. Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya , which has both English and Gujarati streams under the State Board, has come to be recognized by all as a premier educational institution of Ahmedabad. The Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya, Odhav, the fledgling among the four, was started only a couple of years back as a social initiative to bring education within the reach of children of this pre-dominantly industrial area. The combined student strength of our educational institutions is now close to seven thousand.
Highly qualified and motivated teachers, modern techniques of teaching, Digital Class rooms exceeding one hundred, campus protected by a network of two hundred CCTV cameras — these are some of the hallmarks of our institutions. Our three acre campus located in the Satellite area which is in the heart of the Ahmedabad city is utilized to the fullest extent possible and we are in the process of acquiring a new campus for our future developmental plans.
The Gurumandiram in our campus is our spiritual hub.
Apart from education, we are also exploring various other social and spiritual avenues to realize Guru Devan’s dream of a society free from social evils. Alliance Meet (Vivahika Sangamam), Theerthadanam, fees concession to the students belonging to the economically weaker sections, an Ayurvedic Dispensary etc. are some of them.
We are ever grateful to our founding fathers whose foresight and wisdom continue to inspire us even today. One name we will always remember gratefully is of Late Shri K K Vishwanathan, former Governor of Gujarat, whose patronizing presence helped us and several other organizations get land for setting up their campus.
A pro- active management team comprising the Board of Trustees and a Managing Committee ably steer the activities of the Mission.
Having cleared several milestones in our march towards success, our ultimate goal is to become a socially vibrant organization which will provide dynamic leadership to all such organizations with a social agenda cutting across communities and religions.
To be an excellent social organization determined to bring about remarkable transformation in the society through quality education, by establishing, conducting and maintaining educational institutions such as Schools, Colleges, Research Institutions for socio-economic research aimed at the upliftment of socially weaker sections of the society, etc.
